Trying to be Vulnerable is BS

Brene Brown might disagree with me.

But I think trying to be vulnerable is BS.

We happen to live in a society where we have some safety cushions in place, but...

You could get laid off.

You could get cancer.

You could get hit by a car.

You might not get eaten by a sabre-toothed tiger today, but you're freaking vulnerable just by being a human.

So when I hear someone talk about TRYING to be vulnerable...

I don't even know what that means.

You might have a hard time being honest with yourself about it.

And you may have a hard time being honest with others about it.

But I don't know anyone, not a single human, who's not vulnerable.

And if you want to do anything of substance, you're going to be even more vulnerable because you're going to expose yourself.

All of my clients have a wow factor from the outside.

Look at their title.

They're so important.

They must make all this money.

But I just see a vulnerable person.

And it's usually the people who resist the fact that they’re vulnerable the most that could use the most coaching. They're resisting the inevitable truth. We are all vulnerable.

We're all going to die someday.

That's pretty vulnerable.
